Festival of Ideas

Where to go? Take inspiration at a day of talks, films and performances hosted by the Observer which will host at King’s Place, London on Saturday March 19. The day of talks, performance and films gathers speakers drawn from a range of disciplines – scientists, actors, philosophers, musicians, neuro-scientists and environmentalists. This ‘Festival of Ideas’ will be a day-long event designed to challenge, engage and inspire. It will feature speakers from Britain, America, France and South Africa delivering talks ranging from 6 to 18 minutes.

Among the speakers will be:
DJ, musician and artist, Goldie; Sarah Brown patron of the White Ribbon Alliance, Cedric Villani, winner of the Fields Medal for mathematics in 2010; Geoff Mulgan, chair of the Young Foundation; Cory Doctorow, sci-fi writer and blogger; RenĂ© Redzepi, head chef at noma, the world’s best restaurant.Please note: Hall 2 will be running a live stream of the main event TEDxObserver in Hall 1 (all live speakers/performances will take place in Hall 1)
