Ljubljana August 2010

Ljubljaba – the capital of Slovenia – is a nice city but I can’t say it has something special you should see.
Maybe old castle is most interested place there.
You can up to old castle by funicular or by walking on steep slope of the mountain.

Many people travel near the river. On one of the bridges we listen at group of young singers and players from Amsterdam.

Slovene Day in Radovljica

Radovljica is a small town in 10 minutes by bus from Bled lake.
We listened there Slovene folk music and admired on dunsing couples in national costumes.

It’s fine to visit this old small town with its renaissance-style houses and beekeeping museum devoted to the Slovenian passion for bees and honey in the old royal castle Thurnovgrad.

Where to go on July

It’s great idea to visiting one of the best-known music festivals and one of the most prestigious in Europe – The Montreux Jazz Festival that will take part in in Switzerland during 02-17 July 2010. You can enjoy there not only with refind music of such famous musicians as Norah Jones, Paco de Lucia, Petula Clark, Quincy Jones and the Global Gumbo All Stars, Tori Amos, Vanessa Paradis and others greatests but also enjoy one of the most beautiful regions in Europe – Montreux Riviera.

By the way, if you live in Australia or going visit this country this summer you have to know that Australia becomes first country outside of Switzerland to open a Montreux Jazz Cafe bringing rare performances and a taste of the Swiss Riviera to Sydney! Sydney International Airport has opened the doors on the first permanent Montreux Jazz Café outside of Switzerland. This long-standing dream of Founder & CEO of the Montreux Jazz Festival Claude Nobs, will provide the public with the opportunity to dine in a unique setting that highlights the history of Europe’s most famous music Festival.

Winter Family Walks

Winter Holiday is a time of family walks. Some visit the scenes of favorite stories and films; Eeyore’s Gloomy Place, the wild wood of Moley and Ratty, Mr Rochester’s house from Jane Eyre. Nature in showman mood is always an attraction; Cautley Spout waterfall in Cumbria or the cataracts of Dollar Glen in Scotland’s Ochil Hills, or East Anglia’s great bird spectacles, such as the floodlit feeding of the swans at Welney Wetland Centre.

You can also get out in the fresh air this holiday with a free Winter Walk taking a part in the Ramblers Festival of Winter Walks. This Christmas the south west of England will host around 100 festive strolls as part of what organisers say is Britain’s biggest walking fiesta, the Ramblers Festival of Winter Walks, with a number of events taking place in Gloucestershire.

The annual festival began 21 years ago and has since lured thousands of people off their sofas, with more than 17,000 walkers expected to take part in the action this Christmas.

This year’s festival will run from Boxing Day, Saturday 26 December 2009, to Sunday 3 January 2010, with all walks being free, open to all and mostly family-friendly.

‘Walking is a perfect way to escape and unwind after a hectic Christmas. What better way to introduce yourself to the delights of walking than stepping out in the crisp air of a winter’s day on a free, festive Winter Walks stroll?’, said festival supporter and extreme television presenter Ben Fogle.

The Regattas Events in London on July

The largest fleet of Metre boats and classic keelboats ever assembled in the UK will converge on Cowes on 22 July. The regattas, run by the Royal London yacht Club, aims to establish the town as the center for classic yacht racing in Northern Europe.

Organized to coincide with the British Yacht Club Regatta, run by the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, the event will be followed by the Household Division regatta n the Riyal Squadron regatta. The new events was prompted by the success of the Germany regatta for international Rule held in Cowes in 2007 at which 80 Metre-class boats attended.

Fleet racing will be organized for 6mR and 12mR boats. Other classes may sail in the mixed fleet under a rating system, and a separate start or fleet result will be provided if sufficient numbers attend. The organizers hope that fleets may adopt the events as a regular or occasional slot in their calendar. Moorings have been arranged with Shepherds Wharf and the Harbormaster, and mainland facilities will be organized for launching and crossing to Cowes. A full social program is planned bob Miller will act Chief Race Officer.
