Edinburgh Vacation, June 2008. May 4, 2008

What is expected you in Edinburgh this June, which great events and cultural experiences? Edinburgh is a great city to step back in time not only for those who loved the connections of historic places and the cities great landmarks all huddled so close together, but to all who love to travel exploring new interesting places like a child just wonder these streets and soak up the history. Edinburgh is unique among Scotland’s cities which gives you the chance to let your imagination free, and travel back in time, to when these stones echoed with the shouts and clatter of medieval street life.

To really enjoy these streets and houses, walk the whole length of the Royal Mile, and then return, nosing in at little half hidden closes and alleyways. Coming back uphill its easy to slow down and ponder!!! The Tolbooth is on the left hand side, lower down the Royal Mile, towards Holyrood and close to the Edinburgh Museum and Peoples’ Story, both really interesting.
Edinburgh’s superb architecture ranges from ancient churches to monumental Victorian masterpieces - all dominated by a castle on a precipitous crag in the city’s heart. Pick any street to stroll - you’ll be wowed by sudden vistas of looming battlements, cold volcanic peaks and hills steeped in memory.
Taste Edinburgh this summer, this cultural event is not to be missed!
Mary King’s Ghost Fest, city centre from 9 - 18 May 2008

Several Myths About Diving. March 13, 2008
Posted by Surfer in sport, travel, trip, vacation.add a comment
Myth: There are sharks in the ocean and they eat divers. Don’t try to deny it–I saw jaws and open water
Truth: Don’t tell Hollywood, but the factual record on shark vs. diver is pretty dull: Sharks just don’t make a habit of munching on divers. In fact, except in certain conditions and environments, they don’t even stick around when divers get in the water.

Myth: I have to buy a ton of gear just to learn
Truth: This is a gear-intensive sport, but you only need three basic items to start lessons–a mask, a snorkel and a pair of fins. These are personal gear items and they need to fit well for you to have a good time, so it’s worth buying them even if the shop provides loaners.
Myth: You have to be a speed-sporting competitive swimmer to be a diver
Truth: Sure, ultra-fit, competitive swimmers make great divers because they’re comfortable in the water and they’re in great shape, but if the logic of this myth were true, only Tour de France racers would ride bikes.
Myth: Diving is a macho sport that is not female-friendly
Truth: This might have been true, back in the 1950s Sea Hunt era when men of steel like Mike Nelson (played by the late, great Lloyd Bridges) were out there spearing fish with their bare hands and rescuing damsels in distress. Only it wasn’t really true then, either. The lovely Zale Parry, the actress who played the damsel, was one of the most accomplished divers on the set.
Myth: Diving will make my ears hurt
Truth: This one’s true–but only if you don’t equalize the pressure in your ears as you descend.
Myth: Certification is way too expensive
Truth: You don’t get out much, do you? Check the price for a decent dinner, movie tickets for two, throw in some popcorn, after-movie coffees and you’ll drop $100–easily–assuming, of course, there was no drive-through involved in ordering dinner. So, how does that compare to scuba?
Myth: Snorkeling is just as good as scuba diving
Truth: Don’t get me wrong. Floating around on the surface peering down on the reef from above is a great way to spend time between dives. But just as good? No way! Not if you like action.

Are you looking for a great deal on you Holyday vacation? Thera are number services offered you online to help to make up your mind. There are already hundreds of destination guides available covering a wide variety of places and there are lots more on the way, just keep it checking. Would you like to begin your vacation early? Have you decided where do you want to go on your next trip? Or are you just searching around for a new and exciting destination?
Can’t decide whether you want a Mediterranean break, a Luxury Caribbean holiday, a Family holiday or something else entirely? Such wonderful places as Las Vegas, Maui, Mexico, Caribbean,Disney are waiting for you. What do you think about Mexic trip?

Mexico is a traveler’s paradise, crammed with a multitude of opposing identities: desert landscapes, snow-capped volcanoes, ancient ruins, teeming industrialized cities, time-warped colonial towns, glitzy resorts, deserted beaches and a world-beating collection of flora and fauna. Besides that this is fantastic place for fishing.
I think that the mix of modern and traditional, clichéd and surreal, is the secret of Mexico’s charm. Also Mexico’s climate is very pleasent and has something for everyone: it’s hot and humid along the coastal plains, and drier and more temperate at higher elevations inland (Guadalajara or Mexico City, for example)
Lwow. October 30, 2007

This is my native city Lwow. It seems I know every stone, every tree there. This place like a melody that lives into my heart and can never be forgotten and I bielive that this is the most beautiful town in the world. Lwow is old city and it has rich history. Lwow was founded as a wooden fort in the mid 13th century by Prince Daniel Halicki of Galicia, a former principality of Kiervan Rus. The first mention of Lwow in early chronicles is from 1256, although archeological excavation in 1993 revealed that the first settlements appeared in the 6th century.

The Galician lands became part of Poland.. Its nobility eventually adopted the Polish language and religion, Roman Catholicism. From 1356 the burghers had the right of self-government, which implied that all city issues were to be solved by a city council, which was elected by it’s wealthy citizens.
The first half of the 17th century appeared to be the most active period in the city’s development, by that time there where 25-30 thousand people. About 30 craft organizations were active by that time, involving well over a hundred different specialities. Starting in the second half of the 17th century there was a decline in Lwow’s development.
In the First Partition of Poland (1772), Galicia became part of the Hapsburg Austro-Hungarian Empire but remained dominated by Poles.
In 1784, the first university was opened. Lectures were held in Latin, German, Polish.
In the second half of the nineteenth century, construction, trade, transport and industry started to develop rapidly until the start of the First World War. Many prominent cultural and political leaders lived in Lwow, it was a meeting place of Polish, and Jewish cultures.
With the collapse of the Hapsburg Empire at the end of Word War I, the Ukrainian nationalistic favour erupted and they tried to proclaim Lwow as the Capital of the Independent Republic of West Ukraine. That Republic never materialised and it was retaken by the troops of the re-emergent Polish State, and Lwow once more returned to Polish rule until the Red Army took control in September 1939. Lwow was occupied by Germany from 1941 to 1944. In 1944 Lwow again went under the Soviet rule.
“I left Lwow, on a black dark night for unknown shores, on a wasted journey,
On my lips I took with me, the salty taste of my mother’s tears.”
Wedding Travel. October 23, 2007

I think that everyone dreams about the wedding that could be always remembered as a time when you enjoyed a magical experience full of adventure, excitement and romance? Why not? Wedding is the time when you may feel that you have wings and you can do everything even to fly. Actually weddings are “big business” and can be a lot of work and thought on how to make your wedding a day you’ll never forget, but the same way weddings can also be a lot of fun! Do you have any ideas?
There is really no right way or wrong way to have a wedding. You can plan a classic, traditional celebration, a funky, fun day, or anything in between. But a wedding travel is one of the best ideas that one can invent. It could be romantic, exceptional wedding venue in Tuscany with the unique and exquisite settings for your wedding that are unmatched in their elegance or in 15-acre pool complex in Alaska with flowers, catering, photographs and video services, that will make your dreams come true on your big day.
Just make your choice.

Take a boat and go fishing! I’m serious. What could be better than fishing, diving, snorkeling, and generally having lots of fun for ideal pleasure. Beyond all question fishing trip is the best variant of wonderful spending your time. Look at these men, I think they are absolutely happy.

Moving anywhere from 10-40 miles, you can catch blues, Mackeral Shark (Porbeagle)r or Mako sharks. Shark fishing is most sucessful when targetted exclusivly. Sometimes I do combos: cod fishing and shark fishing, its best to book the 10-12 hour trip. When is the best time to go fishing? The best time to go fishing is when you can. Come try for that now to get unforgettable pleasure!
My Switzerland vacation (2) September 5, 2007

As I already wrote there are a lot of reasons to visit Switzerland. This country is absolutely splendid place to spend any sort of vacation. Besides magnificent historical, architectural and cultural objects there is really unique nature in Switzerland. There is an enormous diversity of landscapes and nature on a relatively such small area and that is the exact. I think there is no country in Europe with higher mountains, larger glaciers and flowering meadows, and more forests and pure lakes than Switzerland has. And no doubt that the best way to watch, to feel and to learn this wonderful country is to be riding through with your car.

You can do it with Car Hire Geneva as I did. They will provide you opportunity to see and to be whatever you want, appreciated all your paces and wishes on the way. Have a great time in Switzerland!
